FREE RENTALS

We are offering FREE Uphill Ski rentals for anyone who participates! Pick up Thursday (1/29) after 2pm at the Ute and return Friday by 12pm and the rental is free! 

*Please note it is likely we will rent out our entire fleet by Thursday evening. Rentals are on a first come, first serve basis. We appreciate your patience with our rental staff as they help get everyone set up!*

It’s simple, grab your touring set up and go! Trek your way up to the Cliffhouse on Buttermilk where they will be serving breakfast from 8:45am - 10am. Our team will be there with some exciting updates, cool giveaways, and more.

EVENT HISTORY

Uphill skiing has been an important part of the Aspen community for generations. What started as a handful of businesses, including us here at Ute Mountaineer, uphilling together on Friday mornings and sharing breakfast at the top has turned into an ongoing community tradition.

Every Friday during the winter season Aspen locals get together at the Cliffhouse on Buttermilk as a celebration of the sport and to share what is happening in the community. The Cliffhouse serves breakfast from 8:45am -10am. Locals gather to eat, socialize, and ski back down when it’s done.

This year on Friday January 30th, our team will be hosting the event. We will have fun updates, chances to win prizes, and more. Ute Mountaineer has been a part of this local tradition since the very beginning and we are excited to continue it again in 2026!
