The Ute Mountaineer has proudly owned and operated the Aspen Cross County Center since 1984. Located in the heart of Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System’s 60km+ of free trails, the Aspen Cross Country center provides customers with rentals, lessons, and guided tours. We also offer a wide selection of cross country equipment and attire for purchase.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND EVENTS
Junior Seasonal Rentals
Ute Mountaineer / Aspen Cross Country Center will offer seasonal rentals to juniors for the 2025-26 season. We will be giving priority to Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club Nordic program participants.
For AVSC Nordic Program participants, please see attached for details about equipment, pricing, reservation procedure. If you were unable to attend in-person nights Oct 16 & 20, please reserve using this google sheet.
You will need the following information:
- Parent name, email, cell phone
-Child name, age, height(total inches), weight (pounds), US shoe Size, AVSC program name
-Equipment Needs (ski, boot, pole) - please visit AVSC nordic website for equipment needs by program or contact your coach.
A child’s height, weight, and equipment availability will determine if they are fitted with junior or adult equipment. We will confirm your reservation within 5 days. Pick up will be at the Aspen XC Center in Mid November – dates still to be determined.
For non - AVSC Nordic Program participants, please email axcc@utemountaineer.com starting November 15.
Pickup for any seasonal ski equipment will begin third week of November (dates still to be determined). We gain access to the Aspen XC Center facilities Nov 1 and will then start setting up the center and prepping rental ski equipment.
