Here are
some steps you can take
to make sure your
Camelbak reservoir
enjoys a long and clean
lifespan:
-
Completely dry your
reservoir out
immediately after every
use. Take the reservoir
apart (bite valve from
tube, tube from
reservoir) to speed this
process. Simply letting
each part air dry can
save hours of
maintenance. Blow air
through the tube to make
sure there’s no water
left. Hang your
reservoir using a
reservoir dryer or by
draping the tube over a
hook.
-
The
Camelbak cleaning kit
includes a reservoir
dryer, small brush for
cleaning the tube of
your reservoir, large
brush for inside the
reservoir, and two
cleaning tablets.
-
Over
time, you may notice
some small black spots
living in your reservoir
or tube. Have no fear.
Simply pop in a Camelbak
cleaning tablet, let it
sit overnight, rinse it
out and continue using
your reservoir. If the
black spots are
stubborn, put a teaspoon
of a baking soda/lemon
juice mixture in your
reservoir and let it sit
overnight. Rinse it out
in the morning and check
your status.
Happy
trails! |
