He loves his hooded sweatshirt, quick afternoon runs up Hunter Creek, and footwear (“call me Imelda”). Bob is looking forward to connecting some of the 10th Mountain Huts in a way he hasn’t done before.

Ruth Wade
Yes, it’s true; Ruth was born and raised in Aspen proper. She loves cross-country skiing (classic technique), road biking, and hiking, and has most recently learned how to surf. Ruth was chosen for the part of “Little Blue Angel” in her second grade Christmas play, loves Fat Tire, and is setting her goal of getting to her 50th wedding anniversary.

Paul Perley
Paul is our general manager and has lived in the Aspen area since 1985. When he’s not in the office, he can be found running, telemark skiing, or chasing after his two young sons. When asked what his gear weakness is, Paul replied, “is coffee considered gear?” A more important question has never been asked!

Justin Hewitt
Justin is the new floor manager here at the Ute, a climber, his favorite outdoor moment was the summer when he summited Chomolungma (Mt. Everest).  Although he has only been in Aspen a short while Justin has tried canyoneering and he cannot wait to go out on his snowboard.

Sam Barg
Sam is the hard goods buyer for the Ute. Sam enjoys running, motorcycling, hiking, cycling and competing in most of the local uphill challenges either on foot or on his skis.

Susan Jackson
Susan arrived in Aspen in 1976 and has made Aspen her home. She is in charge of Ute's web site. When not in the office she can be found either enjoying a raft trip or on the ski slopes. She was one of the goalies for the Aspen Mother Puckers ice hockey team.

Weston Paas
Born and raised in Aspen, Weston loves to hunt, fish and play with his 17 month old son. A gear addict who is comfortable travelling off the beaten path, Weston loves skiing any trail with fresh powder and relaxing with his family while he plans for his next big adventure.

Dennis Handley
Dennis has lived in Aspen since 1992. He and his dog, Nemo, can be found chasing powder dumps, good rock, and cold Budweisers. Dennis’ next big goal is to go for ten years without the need for any surgeries or rehab.

Mojo "Office Dog"
Mojo has taken over the office and can be found on most days standing guard on his portaledge by Sam's desk. Mojo's favorite winter sport is plowing thru the snow in the park or on any trail that he is trying to follow Sam on. His next big goal in life is summiting Smuggler Mtn. by himself.

Angus Morrison
As a Professional Adventure Enabler Angus is always seeking the next great adventure when he is not out in the backcountry on his split board. He likes to rock climb, read guide books and play his guitar. To calm down a bit Angus would like to learn how to fly fish this summer.

Mary Harlan
After a day of climbing some of the more radical routes around Aspen Mary enjoys down time researching new routes and playing with her 1 year old son. When not doing that she can be found ice climbing or alpine skiing. This winter she would like to complete 4 ski mountaineering races, followed by a trip to Yosemite in the spring.

Damon Giordano
Damon enjoys climbing, snowball fights, running, biking, hiking and cooking Italian foods. His newest adventure is learning how to use his AT gear to explore the mountains around us.
Damon has studied in the Rainforests of Costa Rica for three weeks, watched a meteor shower on Lassen Peak National Park in California and would someday like to go hiking in the Milford Track in New Zealand.

Jess Tuttle

Jess arrived in Aspen at the beginning of the summer and is excited to explore all of the skiing opportunities on Aspen's mountains. A coach for the Aspen Swim team Jess has competed in the La Jolla Rough Water 3-Mile swim in California, a ultra-marathon in Iceland and recently completed the Vasque Golden Leaf Half Marathon. Say "Hi" to her when you see her hiking up the Highlands Bowl for the first time.
